What is Escape Kemah? Escape Games?
Escape Games are a real-life escape experience. Players are locked inside a themed room for 60 minute, and need to work as a team to solve a series of puzzles, codes, riddles and hints in order to escape within the time limit.
Is this like a haunted house, or what?
At Escape Kemah we put Fun First and we have no intention of scaring you. Though the plot itself may be a bit chilling, we’re not trying to be a haunted house. Some rooms may feature elements such as lasers, fog and/or other thematic elements, but no one is going to jump out and frighten you.
How much does it cost?
The cost for our games is $26.50/person for indoor tiered pricing starting at $37 for outdoor. If you are a follower of our various social media accounts we will post special offers and discounts from time to time.
Do I need prior knowledge before entering the room?
All of our rooms can be solved using clues found within the room. You will be required to use deductive reasoning and teamwork to piece together a multitude of challenges as you progress through each scenario.
What is your refund policy?
Cancellations made before 24 hours in advance will receive a 50% refund; those cancelled less than 24 hrs in advance will receive no refund. During inclement weather conditions that restrict travel, all parties will be rescheduled at your request. NO SHOWS WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.

What time should I arrive?
Please try to arrive 15 minutes before your booked session for your briefing and introduction.
What is the minimum/maximum team size for each game room?
The Fear room's maximum capacity is 12 people. The minimum amount of people in the Fear room is 4 because you are divided into 2 different rooms when you begin playing. The Bomb Room and Studio 99 each have a maximum capacity of 10 people. The minimum amount of people is 2 players.
Will my party have the whole room to ourselves?
Our game is designed for 10-12 people. If you reserve less than the full amount of spaces for the room, it is likely that other people may book the same session. To guarantee a room exclusively to yourselves, you would need to buy all of the spots. However, we've played with strangers plenty of times and it always turns out to be a lot of fun! We encourage you to give it a try.
Is there an age restriction?
Our Escape room puzzles may be too demanding for those under 10, so they may not fully enjoy the game. Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. For your child's safety and the enjoyment of others, we must enforce a strict no children under the age of 10 (Ten) years of age policy, unless you book out the entire room to ensure you will not be paired with strangers.
I am claustrophobic, can I play?
Absolutely! Though the goal is to "escape" the room you are provided an emergency exit code that is prominently displayed on the door should you need to leave the room for any reason.
Can I reschedule my booking?
Yes you can reschedule your event up to 24 hours before the start of your room. Because the escape room is a live event you will incur a rescheduling fee of 25% for any reschedules made 72 hours in advance of your booking and a 50% rescheduling fee for anything between 24 and 72 hours before your reservation. Anything less than 24 hours will not be able to reschedule. If you cant make your event you can transfer your booking to any friends or family to take your place.

Is it possible to access the rooms using a wheelchair?
We at Escape Kemah have taken special care to ensure that our facility and experiences are fully wheel chair accessible. Our recent renovations have included installing 36 inch doors. You can access all our rooms and areas easily via wheelchairs.
Can I take photo or record video in the room?
Please do NOT take picture or video recording inside the room. Also please do not reveal any of the tricks, puzzles and solution to the public. It will spoil the game.
Is a waiver required?
Yes, We send an electronic link to our waiver in the confirmation email that can be signed from any electronic device. Every customer must have a signed waiver on file before participating any customers under 18 must have an parent/guardian sign for them. If you can not sign the electronic copy, you can sign the waiver in our lobby the night of your event. If you need to print a waiver you can download a copy below:
